Toddler Pumpkin Painting

With two under 2 this Halloween, we decided to keep it simple with the pumpkin decorating.

First, we needed two eager little pumpkin painters to move on outside.

Much better.  (And easier to hose down.)

Only a few simple materials, really.  Water-based paint is a must, as well as some fun sponge brushes…

some with sticks,

some perfect for dipping and dotting,

and a few palettes to “contain” the mess.

With a little help from mom and dad, we painted those pumpkins in no time.

Which was good, because…

it wasn’t long before the urge to run won out.

Happy Halloween!
