Two-Bite Pizza Stars

After discovering and subsequently enjoying these yummy two-bite sausage stars many times, we decided to expand our options with this fun finger food.  Here is a super-simple recipe to try pizza in a fun, new way.  Feel free to experiment with toppings!

 Two-Bite Pizza Stars
1 lb ground Sausage (or turkey)
1/2 cup, Mushrooms, chopped
1 jar Pizza Sauce (14 oz)
1/2 cup, Pepperoni, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 c Mozzerella Cheese, shredded
1 pkg Wonton Wrappers (48 count)
Heat oven to 350 degrees.  In a large skillet, cook sausage and mushrooms.  Drain and return to pan.  Add pizza sauce and heat through.  Meanwhile, spray a muffin pan and fill with two wrappers per cup.  (Align wrappers at a 45 degree angle from one another so all 8 corners are showing, and then gently press into cup using two fingers.  See pictorial here.)  Brown in oven for 5 minutes.  Remove and fill each cup 2/3 full with meat, mushroom and sauce filling.  Top with pepperoni and cheese.  Bake an additional 5 minutes.  Enjoy!
