My Heart on Canvas

I never hardly ever win games of chance.  I hesitate to enter giveaways. (What’s the use.)  I rarely ever buy lottery tickets.  (Who needs all that money anyway.) I once went to a casino with five dollars in my pocket.  I walked away with six.  I called it a big win.

But, a couple of months ago, on a whim, I entered a giveaway on Facebook for a photo shoot.  (I mean, what’s to lose?)

And you know what?  I won.  A photo shoot.  In the snow.  With an amaaazing photographer.

Take a look.

Long_12162013_021 Long_12162013_001This last one is now hanging on our wall in a spot that for too long has been bare, but now, is anything but.  And the first photo, the first photo is hanging on our bedroom wall.  Not over our bed as you might imagine, but positioned just so that it will be one of the first things I see when I wake up, and one of the last as I lay me down to sleep.

What a gift to begin and end each day with a glimpse of my heart on canvas.

Thank you, Amy Tripple Photography.  We are forever grateful for these precious memories you have given us.

  1. I don’t understand when people say they never win anything if they never enter anything! I enter free online sweepstakes every day and win about $500 – $1,000 worth of prizes each year. Congratulations on your win!
